Living the Way of Jesus
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
We often hear the term “follower of Jesus,” but what does it truly mean to be a disciple, or an apprentice, of the Rabbi from Nazareth? At its core, it means re-centering your life around three goals: Be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Our dream is to see this lifestyle transform not just our own lives but our communities and our city.
What does it mean to practice the way of Jesus?
Discipleship isn’t a one-time event; it’s a lifelong journey. It’s about integrating Jesus’ teachings into every aspect of life. To practice the way of Jesus is to embody His lifestyle, even amidst the chaos of modern life. We believe that this kind of deep, authentic transformation is possible through teaching, practice, community, and the Holy Spirit. By living this way, we recover our true humanity and experience genuine change from the inside out.

Follow Jesus Into the Waters of Baptism
Baptism is an outward sign of an inward transformation. It’s a significant step in following Jesus and publicly declaring your faith. If you’re ready to take this step, we’d love to walk with you.
Prayer
One of the things that Jesus taught and modeled in his own life is a thing we call prayer. Prayer is how we center our mind, will, and emotions around the presence of God. Prayer is a skill that can be learned over time, and the only way to grow—you can’t fail—is to practice. At Stonecreek we do that regularly in two ways. We have prayer patterns, and we invite people to pray as they cultivate the practice of prayer in their personal lives. These patterns are designed to be prayed daily in 15 minutes or less. We also have a prayer gathering every Wednesday at 6:30 am, 12:00 pm, and 6:30 pm, where we pray the patterns together as a community. This is a safe place to grow your prayer muscle and learn how to pray more effectively.

Neighborhood Gatherings
Neighborhood gatherings are where we practice faith. The Bible talks about how we’re called to be one—where we bear one another’s burdens, we pray for one another, we love one another, we serve one another. We’ve found the best way to do that is in a neighborhood gathering. They’re focused on practicing the rhythms of worship (connecting to God), community (connecting to each other), and mission (connecting to our community and the world). They are intentional about making a difference in the neighborhoods and communities in which they exist. At Stonecreek, this is the way we live out our faith in the context of community.
